The first urban resort of its kind in the region

The Viceroy Palm Jumeirah Dubai demonstrates our passion for luxury hospitality and cements our reputation for unsurpassed quality. The stunning beachfront resort fuses California cool and Dubai sensation.

The US$1.17bn hotel and residences comprises 477 rooms and suites, including 352 guestrooms, 85 suites and 40 hotel apartments located across 16 floors. Featuring a striking amphitheatre design with a signature central glass cube and 60 metre vanishing pool, the hotel is also home to ten restaurants and nightlife settings, spa, beach, pool, kids club and health and wellness areas.

Guests and residents can enjoy breath-taking views of the Arabian Sea, Dubai Marina and Downtown Dubai through the use of innovative architecture and design.

The property's attractive position on the base trunk of the iconic Palm Jumeirah offers the ultimate urban resort experience with a beachfront location and tropical landscaping together with the convenience of quick and easy access to all of Dubai's major highways and key tourist destinations.

Viceroy Dubai Palm Jumeirah fuses state-of-the-art architecture with a pioneering design that complements its iconic destination. The amphitheatre design brings the hotel's concept of theatre to life while its elegant and contemporary interiors and lush landscaping further enhance its beachfront location.

SKAI worked closely with P&T Architects and Engineers to create a hotel and residence that is both unique and memorable. From the very beginning, we placed a strong focus on the overall design and elements through the integration of the DNA glass cube, terrace gardens and a high-rise ballroom to not only differentiate the property but also cater to both business and leisure travellers.

The 221 signature Viceroy Residences are located in identical wings on each side of the hotel and along the plot boundary to maximise the opportunities for indoor and outdoor living. Each two, three and four-bedroom property features a private landscape terrace and swimming pools with views across the Arabian Sea.

Designed by Yabu Pushelberg and Nao Taniyama & Associates, the hotel's interiors feature a calming palette of neutral colours working in harmony alongside teal and brushed bronze finishes. Contemporary furniture and rich fabrics similarly contrast with Greek and Italian marbled bathrooms that feature mosaic tiling and bronze sculptured standalone bathtubs.

The glass cube

The most striking design element of the Viceroy Palm Jumeirah Dubai is the glass cube, which sits at the centre of the property. The 15 metre by 15 metre cube houses an iconic wooden structure inspired by the Islamic pointed arch and DNA structure.

The iconic entrance is unlike any other hotel lobby. Designed to welcome guests to the spiritual heart of the building rather than simply check-in, it celebrates the transparent reality by offering a seamless view of the swimming pool, the Dubai Marina skyline, sunset and beyond.

The cube, the largest structure of its kind in the world, comprises 18 vertical structural glass fins, each 15 metres in length, and 84 glass panels. Three smaller cubes attach to the main cube while the other two connect the cube to the two wings of the hotel.

SKAI worked in partnership with British Columbia-based Spearhead Inc. to install the wooden structure. This architectural feat saw the timber and steel specialists follow the scaffolding team around as the sculpture wound its way up inside the glass cube, similar to building a ship in a bottle.
